Street art in Malaga comes in all shapes and sizes. Some is professional, created by the biggest names in the street art world. Some pieces are tiny, cute & amateur. Somehow they can be more honest, more instinctal.
Sometimes the line between vandalisim and art is blurred, but it interests me anyway. Whether intentional or not it is often an enlightening insight into the cultural and emotional heart of a city. It can hint at the underlying unbridled creativity, and the psychology of it's outlying youth.
Street Art has no gatekeepers. There are no artistic directors, no reviewers.
Obey in Malaga CAC
In November of 2013, The Obey crew traveled to Malaga, Spain where we painted a 7 story mural next to the Comtemporary Art Center. D*Face and his boys came through as well to paint the other 7 story wall on an adjacent tower of the building. After completion of the mural the crew was able to hit some street spots, soak up the sights and sticker desirable surfaces. Big thank you to Fer and his Dad, Fernando and everyone from The CAC Malaga and the to the people of Malaga.
